Development:
Conceptually speaking, this invetion is a golf bag carrier for use with motocycles and bicycles. The accessory device could be easily attached to a motorcycle via side mounts that are standard on most motorcycles and to the framework of a bicycle. The angle of the device prevents the contents of the bag from falling out while turning and a strapping system secures the bag and its contents in place.
Design Features
- The golf bag transport device for motorcycles and bicycles would be manufactured from sturdy, lightweight and heat resistant metal or plasitcs. The accesory device would be made avaialbe in a variety of colors.
- The Motorcycle and Bike Golf Bag Carrier Attachable would be comprised of a central bar with retractable, circular support platform affixed to the bottom end of the central bar, two extension bars projecting horizontally otward from one side of the central bar, and two pairs of semicircular arms extending outward from the opposite side.
- The extension bars would be attached by clamp to the central bar which is approximately thirty inches in length. Secured by nuts and bolts, each clamp could be adjusted in position on the central bar to enable the device to adapt to the specific dimensions of various types of motorcycles and bicycles.
- Clamps on the opposite end of each extension arm to secure the device to the frame or a motorcycle or bicycle.
- The version for use with bicycles would enable the unit to be attached to the framework of the bike without impeding operation of the pedals. This would be accomplished by use of a lower extension bar angled backward and attached to the central post of a bicycle.
- Easily attached, the Motocycle and Bike Golf Bag Carrier Attachable would be positioned at an angle and the lower most clamp secured around the forward, narrow section of the tailpipe and the upper clamp secured to the framework over the rear wheel, behind the driver's seat. The extension arms extend outward from the central bar for approximately three inches, a sufficient space to ensure tha the golf bag and contents are not effected by the temperature of the gases being exhausted through the tail pipe. The golf bag would be positioned between the two pairs of arms and the bottom of the bag would rest upon the circular support platform.
- A securing strap, attached to the end of each semicircular arm, would be pulled around the body of the golf bag and the two maintaining straps buckled together to securely retain the golf bag.
